Approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Libya or system number referencing approval notification sent to the Libyan Embassy in Washington DC. |

| 5 | Business Letter:
Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the US, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Libya. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Libya.

| 6 | Special Instructions:
The Embassy of Libya will not issue a visa on a passport that contains a valid or expired visa to Israel. Visas or entry may be denied for travelers if a passport contains Israeli stamps. |

| | Libya Visa Validity:
Visas are generally issued for single or multiple entries with a stay of up to 45, 90 or 180 days, depending on the approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Libya and the discretion of the consulate. |

| | Libyan Visa Processing Time:
Visas are usually processed in 5 business days. Rush service may be available for additional fees. Please visit our Consular Fees page for details. Rush service is defined as any attempt made by Travisa to retrieve the visa in less time than the amount required by the embassy to process the visa. |
| In order to ensure that visa applications for most embassies/consulates are submitted on the day that we receive them, they should be shipped to us via FedEx Priority Overnight (not First Overnight or Standard Overnight). |
